Release Date: November 17th, 2009
Released in 2009, “The Deepest Dark” is a bold musical statement from a musician previously known primarily for his amazing chops. Where you might expect to find an album full of pyrotechnic guitar shredding, Pittman’s debut instead takes a deliberate left turn: the album is comprised of only Pittman on voice and acoustic guitar, showcasing songs of surprising depth and emotional range by a versatile tunesmith.
Radio friendly rockers like “The Circle” (co-written by Adam Lambert and Tommy Victor) co-exist next to the acoustic metal of “Out of the Black” and epic love songs like “After the Last Wave” (which features the lone guest appearance on the record: vocals by Pittman’s wife, Lisa).
After popular demand, it was re-released in physical & digital format on September 2010 with 6 bonus tracks.
