It was a great event last night in LA where Monte had the opportunity to jam some great songs with the guys at the “From Classic to Rock” event! Check out some pictures & videos. Monte is rocking his ESP Eclipse guitar!
Fresh off the Rebel Heart Tour, our favorite Rock God went straight in the studio to record vocals for his fourth solo album! Monte said in the recent interview for Australian Musician that:
“I recorded all of the guitars on the Kemper. I did a lot of the guitars in my hotel room on tour. I’d take the Kemper to my hotel room with my guitar because the drums are already done, so I recorded all of the guitars myself. I pushed myself way past my boundaries with all of the guitar playing and guitar solos.”
Stay tuned for more news!
Australian Musician spent some time with Monte on the last day of the Rebel Heart Tour and they talked about guitar, amps, his next solo album and of course, Madonna!
Is there a favourite part of the show for you?
For me the song Burning Up because that is the biggest guitar song for me and she gives me a guitar solo, so that’s going to be my favourite. I love doing the acoustic with her too. That’s the great thing about this gig is that you do rock stuff, you do acoustic stuff, funk stuff. We always do atmospheric stuff, so I get to play so many styles, even jazz. There’s some jazz in there too.
After 3 1/2 months of rehearsal, 7 months of touring, over a year on the road (including promo), we've come to our 82nd soundcheck & final show on the #madonna #rebelhearttour – These #espguitars have never let me down & have been with me every step of the way! #instagramtakeover @orangeamplifiers @ethoscustombrands @daddarioandco @jimdunlopusa @seymourduncanpickups @kemperamps @darta_effects @walrusaudioeffects @solidgoldfx @parasitstudio #eclipse #frx #strat #burningup #quiltedmaple

Check out some great videos from Madonna’s intimate gig “Tears of a Clown” that was held in Melbourne last night. Monte played his Bourgeois acoustics and his Alhambra nylon string guitar.
Such kind words about Madonna’s set list tonight! Seeing people who had waited outside for so long put their hands in their faces, crying while hearing some of these songs is one of the most amazing Madonna moments I’ve experienced at this point. Tonight was so much hard work but so much fun. I’m always here as long as I’m welcome. It was awesome performing these songs tonight. So many to choose from. The shape of things to come, I hope! How can I be any use to you now….? — Monte Pittman
